Solved Enigma
Bracelet Facetta, anodized aluminum tubes
Sofia Beilharz’s works are characterized by lightness and sharpness. Their formal language is puristic, almost cool and so simple that at a glance one might gain the impression of looking at a geometric drawing. However, despite the evident flexibility, there is nothing coincidental about the way the simple elements of anodised aluminum are arranged: the enigma has already been solved, and behind the geometry the viewer’s glance unveils an extraordinary design. The pieces of jewellery never look superimposed but instead emphasize through clear and geometric shapes.
If you hold one of the handmade pieces of jewellery in your hands, the weightlessness is particularly noticeable. The material aluminum, as a promise of modernism, looks back on a young, but very own tradition. It stands for a new lightness and a contemporary design which will rapidly become classic.
