Calm and Beautiful
Brooch, silk, gold
Kazumi Nagano
My concept is “calm and beautiful” because I think that essence of Japanese culture is “calm and beautiful”. I wish people to feel internal Japanese esprit not superficial one. The act of holding has been nurtured in Japan’s long history. Concretely I make a sheet with the handloom and fold it into 3D jewelry using the Japanese traditional technique that is ORIGAMI. It is most suitable way of production. Folding a piece of sheet requires only my figures.
